The Genesis Program is an award-winning, family-based program designed primarily for low-income families. It encourages parental involvement in the child's educational development and emphasizes parenting skills to develop positive attitudes, values and behavior. For the 2012/2013 school year, Genesis has moved to a new location, J. Harvey Rodgers School. The move enables the program to focus on three-year-olds and to align itself with the Creative Curriculum used in Glassboro pre-school classrooms.

Genesis is funded by block grants administered by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development and serves families residing in public housing.  The program is made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Gloucester County Economic Development Department's Division of Housing and Community Development, and the Glassboro Board of Education. The Glassboro Housing Authority and Glassboro Education Foundation have also provided support to the Genesis program.

Registration information packets are available at J. Harvey Rodgers School. For more information, call (856) 652-2700 and key in extension 75402.
